Church Plan Benefits
-
Ø
Meet
a tangible need in the community.
-
With
divorce rates over 75% in some areas marriage and family counseling is in
high demand. This provides a
great inlet for a church that wants to reach its community in a positive way
for Christ. Parents are having
more trouble with their children and depression and suicide are at an all
time high. This mission field
is ripe unto harvest.
-
Ø
Create
an effective venue for evangelism.
-
Counseling
is all about relationships, and the key relationship in every person’s
life is their relationship with God. Most
of society has a false image of who and what God is and as a result their
relationship to God is virtually non-existent.
Therefore, every client is given the opportunity to know Christ if
they do not already. This has
proven to be extremely effective and almost 25% of all clients have accepted
the free gift of salvation.
-
Ø
Create a viable outreach to the community.
-
In
order for an outreach ministry to be viable it must point those to whom it
ministers toward the congregation that is sponsoring the ministry.
The Reed Family Counseling Center provides onsite counseling on
behalf of your church. All
clients are recommended to attend church and are directed to the church that
referred them.
-
Ø
Establish
identity in your community as a church that truly cares.
-
No
one is turned down for help, period. We
work on a sliding scale that allows anyone to be able to afford the help
they need. Payment plans can be
arranged for those who may have difficulty in paying and for those who
cannot pay anything we schedule a number of pro-bono sessions each month.
Many of those who seek help have been turned down elsewhere because
of an inability to pay their fees. We
are about helping people, not about money.
-
Ø
Provide an affordable service to your members.
-
Besides
being extremely affordable and flexible, members of a partnering church will
receive 10% off every session. Family
of church members and new clients will receive 10% off the first session.
-
Ø
Protect
your church from legal responsibility.
-
Lawsuits
are a growing issue in the society we live in.
When offering counsel, a pastor and his church are legally
responsible for the things he says. If
a person were to commit a crime and blame it on something the pastor says,
then that pastor and his church are very likely to find themselves in court. If the pastor does not have to proper training and
credentials, then the church will lose and be forced to pay damages.
At the Reed Family Counseling Center we are a separate organization
from your church and pastor, there are no contracts, and no legal binds of
any form. Therefore, you cannot
be held liable for any of the actions of the Reed Family Counseling Center.
-
Ø
Free
your pastor’s time to focus on other ministries.
-
A
healthy, growing church demands that a pastor be free to perform the primary
functions of his position. Secondary
duties such as counseling can take away from his overall effectiveness and
thus hurt a church. While
intentions may be good, an unfocused pastor is an ineffective pastor.
Simplify and focus becomes much clearer.
-
Ø
Create
opportunities for further ministries.
-
Out
of a counseling ministry can come some other great ministry opportunities. Singles ministries, divorce recovery, marriage seminars and
retreats, teen ministries, workplace ministries, gender specific ministries,
marriage preparation, prayer ministries, etc.
-
Ø
Streamline
your ministries.
-
Identify
where the strengths of your people are most effective through temperament
testing. This helps in
identifying spiritual gifts as well as what types of tasks each person is
most suited for. This aids in
eliminating burnout as well as making your ministries more efficient.
