  Our President

The President and Founder of the Reed Family Counseling Center, Stephen E. Reed II, holds a Master of Divinity in Ministry with a major in Clinical Counseling as well as an MBA from Concordia University and a Baccalaureate degree from Trinity College and University.  He is Board Certified by the Board of Examiners of the International Christian Institute and is a member of the Certified Christian Counselors Association.  He is a licensed Temperament Therapist and is certified to administer  eight different psychological tests. He is licensed as a Minister of the Gospel by the Baptist Missionary Association of America, and is a member of Suburban Wood Baptist Church.  He has continuing education hours from Jacksonville Baptist College and Kingwood College, and is currently enrolled in the post- graduate school program at the National Christian Counselor's Association.  He founded the counseling center, with his wife, Rebecca, in order that the Christian Community as a whole could receive affordable counseling by qualified, credentialed, Christian, counselors.

Who We Are, What We Do, 

Why We Do It.

            The Reed Family Counseling Center was established to fill a need that has overwhelmed our churches, communities, and even the very institution of family.  This need has left Pastors scratching their heads, Youth-workers baffled, Parents frustrated, and Marriages strained and failing.  The Christian Community must co-exist with the secular world, however must remain separate from it.  Yet, because there are so few qualified, credentialed, Christian Counselors, the Christian Community is forced to seek counsel from a world that denies the Word of God and instead acknowledges human reasoning as its authority.  This leads many down a path of misunderstanding, confusion and ultimately defeat.  In order to combat this downward trend in the Christian Community, the Reed Family Counseling Center was established.  What we do is offer professional, competent, and, compassionate, Faith-Based Counseling to churches, families, and individuals.  Unlike the vast majority of counseling centers we bill on a sliding scale so that everyone can afford the counseling they need.  We also offer affordable church plans for churches that cannot afford to keep a full-time counselor on staff, yet understand the need for qualified, professional counseling for their members.  We do this because we recognize the needs for these services and that those needs have so greatly outgrown the Christian Community’s ability to respond that we are facing a crisis.  Please be in prayer for us as we respond to this enormous and growing need and we look forward to serving you.
